ON-Q Pain Relief |
The ON-Q System controls pain after surgery while you are at home
Use ON-Q After Your Surgery to:
ON-Q Works from the Start:
ON-Q Relieves Pain Without Narcotics:
Recover More Comfortably With ON-Q:
Ask Dr. Hynes for the ON-Q System:
What is ON-Q?
ON-Q is a small, high-tech balloon that holds local anesthetic, a pain-numbing medication. It delivers the anesthetic through a small specially designed tube directly into the surgical incision site. The medication is delivered continuously and slowly for up to five days after surgery. Similar to your dentist injecting Novocain into your mouth to create a numbing effect, ON-Q soaks the surgical site to create the same effect. Because ON-Q directs the medication only into the area that you have pain, the rest of your body stays in its normal, comfortable state.
The result? Your pain is relieved and you avoid the nausea, breathing problems, drowsiness, grogginess, constipation and sleepiness, all of which are side effects of narcotic painkillers. Watch Dr. Hynes talk about ON-Q on TV: |
