Kansas City Facial Plastic Surgery
A Face & Neck Lift (Rhytidectomy) improves the signs of aging by reducing sagging skin on the face and jowls. It also reduces loose skin on the neck. Dr. Hynes removes deposits, tightens underlying muscles and re-drapes the skin on the face and neck. The face lift is frequently done in conjunction with other cosmetic surgery procedures such as an eyelid surgery or forehead lift.
Dr. Hynes does his face lift surgeries in the safety of a hospital in the outpatient department; you will go home the same day as the surgery. Bandages will be removed the day after surgery. Most people have some swelling and possibly some bruising after the surgery. Usually within two weeks, most patients feel comfortable using makeup and sunglasses, and many resume their normal outings. It may take several months for swelling to fully dissipate and up to six months for incision lines to mature.

Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, corrects droopy upper eyelids and puffy bags below the eyes by removing excess fat, skin and muscle. Sometimes, only the upper or lower eyelids require the surgery. Some patients inherit a family trait of droopy or puffy eyes and elect to have their eyelid surgery while still in their twenties. Cosmetic eyelid surgery improves the appearance of the eyes by restoring firmness to the area surrounding the eyes. The eyes are often the first thing people notice about a person and our patients are thrilled with their new youthful appearance.
Kansas City Brow Lift or Forehead Lift
A brow lift is a procedure to minimize the horizontal lines and furrows on the forehead or bridge of the nose that make a person look angry, sad or tired. The procedure also corrects the droopy brow by raising the eyebrow, resulting in a more refreshed appearance. The brow lift may also reposition the low or sagging brow that is hooding the upper eye lid. This procedure is often combined with a face lift or other facial procedure.

Ear Reshaping (Otoplasty)
Otoplasty, or ear reshaping reduces the size of large ears and sets prominent ears closer to the head. Ear surgery on adults is not uncommon, and there are generally no additional risks associated with ear surgery on an older patient.

Full face laser skin resurfacing uses state-of-the-art carbon dioxide and Erbium laser technology. Full face laser resurfacing is the gold standard for removing facial wrinkles and significantly reducing the jowls that develop with age. The amount of eyelid skin shrinkage is truly amazing. The results are dramatic, including fuller, tighter, younger-looking skin.
